01 Agreement
By downloading or using Cold Take, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app. These terms are between you and Josh Welford ("we", "us"), based in the United Kingdom.
02 What the app is for
Cold Take is a personal decision-journaling tool. You record a decision and your reasoning, set a review date, and later grade how the call turned out. It exists to help you think more honestly over time.
03 Not professional advice
Cold Take does not give financial, legal, medical, or any other professional advice. It records your own judgements; it does not make them for you, and nothing in the app should be relied on as a recommendation. Decisions you make are yours.
04 Your content
Everything you write in Cold Take belongs to you. Because your entries are stored on your device, you are responsible for keeping your own backups. We can't recover takes for you — we never had them.
05 Acceptable use
Please don't:
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with the app, except where the law expressly allows it.
- Use the app to break the law or infringe someone else's rights.
- Resell, redistribute, or pass the app off as your own.
06 Availability
We aim to keep the app working and updated, but we can't promise it will always be available, error-free, or compatible with every future version of iOS. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features over time.
07 Liability
The app is provided "as is". To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses arising from your use of the app or from decisions you record in it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited — for example, for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
08 Apple
Apple is not a party to these terms and has no responsibility for the app. Apple's standard App Store terms (including the Licensed Application End User License Agreement) also apply to your use of the app.
09 Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes fall to the courts of England and Wales.
